The mention of her background was a use of ethos, and it immediately gave her credibility to talk about the journalism industry because of her experience. She said her purpose of becoming a journalist was to inspire people through stories and make a difference. She argues in this talk that virtual reality can achieve that by increasing one's capacity for empathy. She provides three examples to support her argument. I love your choice of print advertisement, in part because I love the Old Spice commercials and think they are funny, but also because I think your comment on how the visuals of the ad play more into a woman's fantasy of desire is spot on. My ad was about attracting women customers with the idea of being desired by men while yours is more about the male viewers taking note of the reactions of the woman viewers around them and how to achieve that expectation.
